|
In this class, it continues to acquire more knowledge in the literature, but it mainly being in Latin American. From short to great popular novels of recent years, it was part of the readings and requirements in this course. One of the books that I enjoyed the most was "One Hundred Years of Solitude" ( Cien años de soledad) by the Colombian, Gabriel García Márquez. This novel was a great challenge since its subjects are infinite, but it was a great satisfaction to have finished it. It also influenced me to even written an essay about it. Also, I had the opportunity to learn more about the twentieth-century Spanish-American writers who were against the dictatorships of the 1970s. One example is Mario Vargas Llosa and his book "La Fiesta del Chivo", this book tells the story of Rafael Trujillo, dictator of the Dominican Republic, through three narrative voices.
